Mastership in General Dentistry

OVERVIEW:

  • Comprehensive Clinical Training: The Mastership in General Dentistry (MGD) is a 6-month, full-time residency program in India designed to enhance clinical skills in areas like Endodontics, Prosthodontics, Aesthetic Dentistry, Lasers, and Flap Surgeries.

  • Stipend & Recognition: MGD is the only post-BDS program in India that provides a stipend for half the duration of the course, recognizing the clinical skills and contributions of the participants.

  • Hands-on & Soft Skills Development: Participants gain extensive patient exposure, practical experience, and also receive training in practice management, communication, and solving common dental clinic equipment issues.

  • Eligibility & Materials: Open to BDS/MDS graduates, with most materials provided by the institute. Participants need to bring specific items like handpieces and Protapers. A valid State Dental Council registration is required.

  • Minor Oral Surgery & Emergencies (1 day workshop)
  • Perio, Flaps & Grafts (1 day workshop)

  • All procedures need to performed on extracted teeth
  • Access opening
  • Biomechanical preparation (Manual & Rotary)
  • Obturation
  • Use of different rotary file systems

  • All procedures need to performed on extracted teeth
  • Crown preparation

  • Use of lasers on Chicken legs & vegetables

  • Suturing Techniques on chicken legs

  • Posterior composite restorations on extracted teeth
  • Anterior composite restorations on extracted teeth

  • Management of flurosis
  • Shade rehabilitation
  • Management of White spot Lesion

  • Learn to use Smile Designing Software
  • Veneer Preparations
  • Bonding Techniques for Veneers

  • Minimum 28 Root Canal Treatments (Anteriors + Posteriors)
  • Usage of Endodontics Loupes on Patients ( Based on participants interest & Case availability )
  • Post and core – Fiber post
  • Few Re- RCT Cases
  • Usage of various file systems on patients

  • Minimum 25 Crown Preparations (Anteriors + Posteriors)
  • FPD Cementations ( Based on participants interest)
  • Retraction Cord & Rubber base Impressions (Whenever required)
  • Removable Partial Dentures ( Based on participants interest & Case availability )
  • Recording Jaw Relations ( Based on participants interest & Case availability )
  • FMR cases (based on availability)

  • Extractions
  • Surgical extractions / Disimpactions

  • Anterior and Posterior Composite Restorations
  • Smile Designing cases (based on availability)
  • Ellis fractured restorations (based on availability)
  • Tooth Jewels ( Participant can convince their patients for tooth jewels, DENTTLY will provide the Tooth Jewel))

  • Deciduous teeth extractions
  • Pulpectomy
  • Space maintainers (based on availability)

  • Crown Lengthening
  • Deep curettages
  • Operculectomy (based on availability)
  • Lesion Removal (based on availability)
  • Depigmentation (based on availability)

  • Shade rehabilitation (based on availability)

  • Out of total 35 RCT’s Quota you will be allowed to do 2 to 3 RCT’s under the Mircoscope. The type of case to be done under Microscope will be selected by the DENTTLY faculty
